Lead the product development journey of a Diagnostics Tech Product from ideation to launch. Build the Tech Product for the client to successfully transition from Startup to a Scaleup.
Priorities For The Client
The client (a Lab diagnostics company) made the decision to build diagnostics capabilities for drug testing. They required a,
- technologically savvy B2B solution that is both user friendly,
- Compliant to European Medical Device guidelines,
- accreditable (ISO 15189 standard),
- time bound (estimated time was 6 months to launch) and
- scalable (for both Swedish and non Swedish registrations).
Core Requirements And Learnings
- Multiple Users. There were multiple users that would use the Digital Solution : the Client, the Lab staff, Medical Doctor, Tester. Everyone had different but equally relevant requirements from the system.
- Highly sensitive and regulated. Building a flexible and user friendly Tech solution that captures the key information, while also balancing the customer feeling comfortable about providing the information.
- Handle the Client’s resistance to change : The current paper system is inefficient but everyone is used to it. How do we encourage all the users to become digital with the least amount of resistance?
- Internal Change Management. Building Tech products was a new concept at the company. There were challenges / misconceptions that needed to be continually handled while ensuring high productivity and energy in the team.
How?
- Build a Tech platform that the interested Developers can directly register themselves with.
- Test their skills using multiple logical assessments. Thereafter screen the Developers for personality and cultural fit.
- Connect them with Swedish companies directly.
